24 Emotional Issues Directly Linked to Hip Pain

What Your Body Wants To Hear Heal Hip Pain

“Hip Problems relate to fear of going forward in major decisions. Nothing to move forward to. Affirm – I am in perfect balance. I move forward in life with ease and joy at every age”. ~ Louise L Hay

If you are suffering from hip pain, the chances are you haven’t even considered that energy blockages or traumatic emotions could have anything to do with it. We often suffer from all kinds of aches and pains without ever taking the time to go deeper and work out what exactly is causing them. But how long do you want to suffer? At what point are you going to investigate and find out what the pain is really all about?

Ask yourself if you have any of the worries or fears listed below. I think you will be surprised!

  • Fear of making major decisions.
  • Feel as though you have nothing to look forward to.
  • Feeling a lack of physical and/or emotional support.
  • Resistance to current experiences.
  • Fear of moving forward in life, career, relationship.
  • Fear of the future.
  • Fear of change.
  • Inability to let go of the past.
  • Feeling unable to stand alone.
  • Anger at parents.
  • Concerns about your life purpose.
  • Fear of intimacy.
  • Holding on to past hurt.
  • Withdrawing energy from a person or relationship.
  • Feeling as though you are on shaky ground.
  • Feeling insecure.
  • Feeling useless.
  • Wanting to move away from a person or situation.
  • Carrying too much emotional weight for others.
  • Finding it hard to be independent.
  • Conflict between moving forward and holding on.
  • Anxiety.
  • Fear.
  • Financial Fear.

If you recognise that you have some of these issues, congratulations!  You have taken the first step towards understanding the message your hip pain has for you. Our bodies hold the secrets of what is really going on in our lives and they let us know in the only way they can; by manifesting pain.

      Hi Sherill,
Thank you for your comments. I am delighted that more and more people are coming to realise just how much our beliefs, thoughts and emotions affect our bodies. When we know that, we are much more empowered and view our bodies and health in a very different way.
      To your health and happiness,
      Love,
      Barbara

      Thank you, Martha,
No matter how long I work with this subject, it never ever ceases to amaze me. Our bodies are always accurately reflecting how we feel emotionally. It’s always bang on! The great thing is that when we realise it we can do something about it. Even if that is only thanking our body for bringing those buried feelings and emotions to our attention.

      Love always,
      Barbara x

A few days ago after moving my father in law to a nursing home, we had to clear out his apt. This is the apt I have taken care of him for almost a year. Clearing out his apt was filled with so many emotions. I developed almost debilitating left hip pain while moving his stuff out. Now two days later after cleaning up a day ago, I woke up with pain in the morning but my nightfall tonight, it is almost all gone. I was in so much pain I was crying and could only drag my leg around all yesterday. Even today earlier in the day, there was still intense pain at times. As an herbalist, I began to question if it was not emotional rather than overdoing it when moving the stuff out. I know it is. There was so much fear for the future since he was paying us to take care of him. So we have half the income we had but I know we will make it through, even though it is scary since we are 66 and 70. We had to put him in….we physically could not handle him. It was an abrupt change from 24 hours a day for weeks to none. Emotionally and physically I was a wreck trying to care for him in the last weeks. I feel much better tonight mentally as well. I have felt drained like being hit with a mack truck for weeks.

      Dear Kate,
My heart goes out to you! What a difficult time this must be for you, so many conflicting emotions and all that physical work to do. I am glad you are feeling better and hope you get a chance to rest, both physically and emotionally. At a time like that it makes complete sense for pain to manifest in your hips. There are a lot of shock and survival issues involved as well as huge life changes and responsibilities. I would almost be surprised if you hadn’t manifested hip or lower back pain. Hopefully your realisation that the huge emotional trauma and conflict contributed to this pain will help you heal – on all levels. You don’t say if you used the What Your Body Wants To Hear Hip Pain affirmations, if not, you can find them here and I hope they help you. https://www.healing-affirmations.com/support-your-hips. I wish you and your family the very best of luck please don’t hesitate to contact me if I can be of any further help.
      Love,

I have been dealing with right hip pain for quite awhile. Tight hip. I’ve tried massage, foam roller, ice and nothing seems to offer lasting relief. I am finally starting to look within for answers. If I can address spiritual cause of my hip & tightness, perhaps I will have permanent relief. I’m interested in your hip CD. Does it have meditations and affirmations on it? Do you have any other words of guidance for me? Thank you, Karen

      Hi Karen,
Thank you for writing to me. Looking within for your answers is a great idea. As an Emotional Freedom Technique practitioner I always look inside for the root cause underlying any physical symptoms because that’s usually where the answer lies. My What Your Body Wants to Hear meditation series is based on E.F.T. theories of releasing the negative emotions most likely to be held in a particular area of the body, opening our minds to the possibility of accepting positive healing messages then making positive, healing affirmations. You can read the transcript of the meditation for free before deciding if the meditation resonates with you. I hope that helps,
      Love,

Hi Barbara! I would really look forward to talking with you. I am currently working as a D tissue bodyworker, I am a licensed massage therapist and a certified medical massage practitioner. I am beginning to explore more and more of the relationship between thoughts energy and the effects it has on physical body. I’m currently writing a book and getting ready to do some seminars on the subject. Would you be open to having a discussion on the subject?I hope this message reaches you.
    Sincerely,
    Misti Miller
