“Your body is not your enemy. It is always, always doing the very best it can to support you”. Is a deceptively simple message. It’s a message many people don’t really agree with. The prevailing wisdom is that the body has made a mistake or is at war with something.
If you can bridge the cognitive dissonance that may have just hit you in the face and begin to change your thinking, this one sentence could change your life and your health forever.
The simple truth of it empowers you and helps you to work with, rather than against, your body.
Whether you are dealing with chronic pain, illness, dis-ease, weight or body image challenges, a positive, co-operative approach is much gentler and more effective than beating yourself up and battling against your body. You will feel better, heal faster and your body will come back into balance much faster when you realise you are both on the same side and work together.
