How to speed up your healing? Bring your subconscious on-board! The first seven years of all our lives were dedicated to absorbing and assimilating information from the world around us. In order to be accepted and function in our families and communities we had to assimilate and become habituated to certain beliefs and behaviours.
Nature designed this marvelous strategy as a survival mechanism and it works brilliantly. It works brilliantly until we want to change some of the messages and beliefs we absorbed!
We had no control of the environment, behaviours or beliefs we were exposed to. Therefore we had no control of the messages our subconscious minds received and accepted as fact.
Whether they were positive and healthy or fearful and disempowering, those messages are still running most of our lives, our relationships and the state of our health!
If our subconscious is running beliefs/programmes of ill-health, poverty, lack of self-worth, we are always going to struggle with healing ill-health, poverty, lack of self-worth. No amount of new knowledge or thinking in the conscious mind is going to change that.
The conscious mind is not in the same league as the subconscious when it comes to healing or running your life!
The conscious mind is the creative mind, it can learn in any number of ways. However, adding new knowledge to the conscious mind doesn’t change the programming in the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is a different mind and it learns in a completely different way. The subconscious mind is the habit mind and we don’t change habits easily!
Nature designed this marvelous strategy as a survival mechanism.
The subconscious mind is brilliant at remembering how to walk. It’s just not easily amenable to changing the long established habits that your conscious mind now wants to change. We shouldn’t judge our subconscious progammes harshly though. They have done what they are meant to do; they have kept us alive until now.
Some of the aspects of yourself that you may now want to change, were put in place to ensure your survival. So thank them as you prepare to let them go with love.
How do we change and replace damaging or self sabotaging habits in the subconscious mind?
The same way you downloaded the programmes in the first place! Access the the subconsious mind directly. Just before you go to sleep your subconscious is in operation. So if you listen to messages as you drift off to sleep they bypass the conscious mind, go directly into the subconscious mind and re-programme it!
After age seven it takes repetition and practice to create a new habit. If you want to get rid of a habit that’s not supporting you you have to engage a habit that does support you. Repetition and habituation change the programme. You can re-write your beliefs and radically change your life and your health!
