If you suffer with back pain (or any other kind of pain) are you still looking for the answer from a “mechanical” or physical damage view point?

How is that working for you?

Back pain testimonial

I have known many people, even worked with some, who told the story of the injury or surgery or having seen an x-ray of the “mechanical” damage to their body.

They told the story over and over again and in great detail often for years. As they did so, they unwittingly crystallised the energy of the trauma and held on to the pain of it.

Some of them joined support groups to talk about it. Some just told their friends over and over again. And many argued that as the injury was “mechanical” not emotional, nothing could be done about it!

But is that true?

Here is an excerpt from someone I worked with:-

In December 2003 I was injured at work when a 300 pound tool chest was dropped on me while loading it in a members vehicle at Costco in Ogden, Utah USA. As a result of this injury I under went a 4 level fusion of my cervical spine from C-4 to C-7 in which they replaced the damaged disc’s with cadaver bone and screwed a titanium plate to the vertebrae to hold it all together. Since the surgery I have had unbearable pain in my neck, arms and hands due to crushed nerves in the damaged area of my spine. In the process of working with Barbara on that occasion in February 2005 I had experienced a period of extreme pain. To my complete and total astonishment Barbara began tapping on me and having me recite EFT cue words after her. I had happened to glance at the clock on the wall when we began. Normally in this situation I would have had to take a rather large dose of narcotic to quiet the pain which would take 30 minutes or more to get me on top of it. As it was, like magic, the EFT Barbara did with me had me sitting dumb founded and pain free in little over 8 MINUTES!

Where did the pain caused by the physical damage of the accident, injury and surgery go?

I have heard the words “it’s mechanical” or “they say I have…. disease” (fill in the blank) more times than I can count. I understand it but it doesn’t get us anywhere. It doesn’t bring relief from pain or true healing.

If you look at the above case from the point of view that the upper back (which represents the reverse side of the heart) is likely to be storing fear, irritation, anger, resentment or lack of love we are immediately empowered and can take steps towards healing.

If you are suffering with “justifiable” mechanical pain. Or if you believe that because of physical injury and damage you have to have pain, you will have it. But what have you got to lose by turning that thinking on its head and opening your mind to other possibilities?

I’d love to hear your healing stories if you’d care to share.

Thanks very much for this, Barbara. Many people could benefit from your wisdom and experience.

I’ve also known people who talk endlessly about their aches and pains. They fail to see the connection between their words and their physical ailments. As with the person you helped, it does not have to take a long time to feel relief or to heal.

Thank you, John. You are exactly right and the video you posted today was a brilliant visual illustration of thoughts and words affecting our energy systems.
I might have to use it one day. 🙂
