While it may seem that the problem lies in our body, the truth is that underlying painful emotions are the true cause of our pain and dis-ease. We are all different but because of the correlation between emotional issues and specific organs it is possible to target these emotions very specifically. Talk To Your Pain

Talking to your pain might seem like a strange concept but I am willing to bet that you already do it!

When you become aware of your self-talk you realise that when you are in pain you tend to complain about it, if not to others, certainly to yourself. You may grumble about it, feel resentful and even angry that it prevents you from doing things you want to do.

You judge and criticise yourself and your body. You tell others what a “bad back” or “bad hip” you have and how much you suffer with it.

If you have a name for your pain, a diagnosis, it is worth remembering diagnosis is simply a word. It is just a word used to describe a symptom or symptoms showing up in the body. Diagnosis is only a name, agreed upon to identify specific symptoms.

A diagnosis only has as much power as YOU give it! When you talk about it and identify yourself with it, you give it more power, you give it more energy. When you talk about it, you are affirming you have it!

If you do any of these things, you are already talking to your pain and you are affirming it! The great news is that now that you are aware of this you can change it!

You can change it this very minute by changing the way you talk to the part of your body that is pain. Think of it as a small child, puppy or kitten scared and in pain. Instead of complaining, focus on sending it warm, loving thoughts, if you can (you might not be ready for this step yet) thank it for everything it has done for you and for the message it is sending you. By doing this you change the energy around it instantly.

“A few days ago after moving my father in law to a nursing home, we had to clear out his apt. This is the apt I have taken care of him for almost a year. Clearing out his apt was filled with so many emotions. I developed almost debilitating left hip pain while moving his stuff out. Now two days later after cleaning up a day ago, I woke up with pain in the morning but my nightfall tonight, it is almost all gone. The Surgical Route

A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine described how 180 patients with knee pain received one of three types of treatment:

  • Debridement, in which worn, torn or loose cartilage is cut away and removed with the aid of a pencil thin viewing tube called an arthroscope.
  • Arthroscopic lavage, in which the damaged cartilage is flushed out.
  • imulated arthroscopic surgery in which small incisions were made, but no instruments were inserted and no cartilage removed.affirmation meditation for knee painDuring two years of follow-up, patients in all three groups reported moderate improvements in pain and ability to function.Neither of the intervention groups reported less pain or better function than the placebo group.Indeed, the placebo patients reported better outcomes than the debridement patients at certain points during the follow-up.Throughout the two years, the patients were unaware of whether they had received real or placebo surgery.

    The Energy Therapy or Emotional Route

    In another case on the E.F.T. site, a client with severe knee pain explained that he had no cartilage at all in his right knee. After the session, he too, was pain free. He later reported that that evening he had bent down to speak to his daughter then stood back up with no pain whatsoever. He couldn’t remember ever being able to do that before.
