Many people have asked why the What Your Body Wants To Hearmeditations are so powerfully effective. To be honest I didn’t really know but I think I am beginning to understand and science is starting to explain it.
Everywhere I look at the moment people are exploring the science of dis-ease, healing from the inside and the amazing power of thought. In all of this new information there are aspects which are included in the W.Y.B.W.H. meditations. For example, Lynne McTaggart says that in her intention experiments they found that being specific produced the greatest effects. Our meditations address the emotional energy held in individual areas of the body. It doesn’t get much more specific than “I release any instability I have stored in my ankles!”, ” I release any stubbornness or rigid thinking patterns I have stored in my head!”, “I release any sense of loss I have stored in my heart!”, “I release any financial concerns, I have stored in my lower back!” etc.
Lynne also teaches that emotions occur in every cell and that thoughts are the body’s most powerful instruction. Change the thoughts i.e. the instructions and you change your body. She goes as far as to say “Thought is the best medicine, the most powerful drug there is”.
Gregg Braden says, “The average person generates 25,000 to 50,000 thoughts a day. Change your negative thoughts to positive ones and you”ll have a happier, healthier life”.
The wonderful Bruce Lipton teaches that the new science of Epigenetics proves that our environmental perceptions have more effect on our cells than chemicals. This is great and empowering news because we can change our perceptions and thus change our health!
Much as I wrote in my article There Is No Mine or Yours, There is Only Ours the same message or a very similar one is being brought through by many teachers, each with their own unique expression and vibration. Each attracting people who resonate with their particular energy and their interpretation of the message.
When I started this work I was familiar with some of these teachers but had not studied their work in any detail. I was inspired by the vision of trillions of tiny cells breathing a sigh of relief when the negative messages stopped bombarding them. I brought through the same message along with a simple yet powerfully effective practical tool people can use to change their thoughts, emotions and state of health. I have written before that this work feels as though it flows through me and sometimes almost writes itself. I see this as evidence that we are all connected. Now is the time for this knowledge to be shared and used in a practical way to empower people and help them change their perspectives and thus their health.
In the video below, Dr Joe Dispenza discusses why people become food intolerant, the powerful effect stress has on us, the power of thought and the benefits of meditation. As he says, we can make thoughts more real than anything else. So powerful that we can turn on our flight or fight response through thought alone!
The Release Grief & Trauma programme is now available on our revised app. You can download it here
People have been asking for a guided healing meditation which addresses the deep pain and despair which often accompany painful and traumatic events in our lives. Times when we feel that we just can’t go on and will never find peace again. So here it is!
I am delighted to announce the release of the latest Beyond Affirmations: What Your Body Wants To Hear guided healing mediation, Release Grief and Trauma. This is the first new recording I’ve done for a while and I’ve loved getting back in to the creative process.
Grief and trauma can run very deep and cut us to our core. This meditation takes gentle, baby steps towards releasing painful emotions, moving towards acceptance, healing and peace.
I truly appreciate when people let me know how they get on with my programmes. I was delighted to receive this:-
“Very very good Barbara. Just had my first session and definitely could feel a bit of releasing going on. I must have drifted off because I found the tape had fimished without my recall.
Curiously, I found myself releasing pain for other people I know for whom the words seemed relevant too. It was good to feel that broader touch embracing everyone in my consciousness.
Your voice is pitched perfectly and pace gentle like the rhythm of waves or sunlight on water.
It’s a sad fact that seeking an “alternative” healing practitioner is a last resort for many people. I have worked with people who could go no further down the conventional route. Conventional medicine had literally given up on them and told them “there is nothing more we can do for you”.
That is a terrifying prospect for people who are in pain and who believed M.D.’s were, to quote Deepak Chopra, “Medical Deities”. It also means that alternative practitioners are only consulted when things have become pretty dire. We don’t get to start on a level playing field. I often imagine the results we could achieve if we were consulted earlier.
The U.K. and U.S. have very different health care systems neither of which are very empowering. In both systems it is very easy to be sucked in to a victim mentality and to feel that you have no control over your treatment or lack of healing results.
One of the biggest pit-falls of both systems is that we give our power away. We feel powerless and helpless, are often in pain and feeling at our most vulnerable. When you are in that mindset it can be nigh on impossible to believe that you are creating your situation and reality. The very idea can make people upset and angry.
If you are able to open your mind even a tiny bit, perhaps listen to a half hour meditation in the privacy of your bed as you fall asleep. You can tap in to your inner knowing and strength, let go of fear and move towards taking charge of your own healing.
This article was inspired by an 84 year old lady I worked with last night. Three other incredibly brave and wonderful elderly ladies are also in my mind as I write and I thank them for trusting me and giving me the honour of working with them. I love you all – you are incredible!
I have decided to make all the transcripts to my guided meditations freely available. Many of them are already available on my website, just follow the links below. I intend to publish them all when time permits and hope they will be useful tools for tapping sessions or simply to read through as a reminder to send love and gratitude to your body.
I have completed the Grief & Trauma research and script and just have to get some quiet time to record it.
The Grief & Trauma guided healing meditation is now available. You can find it here
I have also started a new “What Your Body Wants To Hear” series for serious dis-eases. I am half way through a script for Rheumatoid Arthritis which will be followed by a guided meditation to help people cope with Fibromyalgia. Please get in touch if you have ideas or suggestions for other dis-eases you would like to see covered in this new series.
I also plan to launch a new service, personalised guided meditations tailored for your specific needs. This package will include two private consultations over Skype. I am really looking forward to launching this and working one to one with people again.
The app is doing well. It is so exciting to see it being downloaded all around the world. If you have downloaded it and enjoyed it, we would be really grateful if you could pop a review on the Apple Store or Google Play. If you haven’t got our free Relaxation & Well-being meditationyet, you can download it here
As always, I thank you all for your love and support and for helping me get this work out to the world.

What Your Body Wants to Hear: Heal Your Relationship with Food
The Heal Your Relationship with Food recording is slightly different. It is based on John Cali’s Spirit Speaks messages. I took Spirit’s messages and combined them with the “What Your Body Wants to Hear” process. So, in this recording, you are hearing Spirit’s words in a relaxing meditation.
What Your Body Wants to Hear: Release Stress & Anxiety
“The truth is that there is no actual stress or anxiety in the world; it’s your thoughts that create these false beliefs. You can’t package stress, touch it, or see it”. – Wayne Dyer.
Whilst I agree with Dr Dyer, feelings of stress and anxiety certainly feel real and they create physical symptoms.
The body is unable to tell the difference between real and imaginary events. When we focus on our fears, it plays as much havoc with our hormones and chemical imbalance as when we confront a dangerous situation in real life. Images may just be in your mind but they trigger an instant response in your body. Release and replace fear-full thoughts and anxiety with peaceful, empowering and loving messages. The healing messages your body wants to hear.
What Your Body Wants to Hear: Self Love
2 Session Pack
Heal your relationship with your deeper self, your creativity, wisdom and divinity. Release all your “not good enough” feelings and embrace who you truly are, a wise, creative, abundant and loving spiritual being.
If you feel you need a deep clearing exercise, please start with the first recording and listen to both. If you are feeling pretty good but need a little positivity top up go straight to the second recording and enjoy the empowering questions and positive affirmations.
What Your Body Wants To Hear: Headaches & Migraines
There are numerous reasons for headaches & migraines. But in general they are your body’s way of telling you you are going too fast, doing too much and overloading your circuits!
Take some time to let go, release pressure and tension with this relaxing meditation.
What Your Body Wants to Hear: Support Your Heart
The Support Your Heart recording is one of my favourites. It is strongly focused on love. The heart is after all, the centre of our love and security. This recording leaves you feeling loved and loving, and helps you access the love your heart has for you.
What Your Body Wants to Hear: Support Your Stomach
The stomach is generally where we store store fear and anxiety. That “stomach churning” sensation is often an indication of anxiety. We can also store acidic or corrosive emotions, such as anger or insecurity in our stomachs. This can result in acidic health conditions, when we just can’t stomach the situation any longer. Make peace with your stomach and you will be more able to enjoy more nourishment both from food and love.
What Your Body Wants to Hear: Support Your Back
Because our backs carry so much emotional issues for us, it is divided in to three parts.
The Upper Back
The upper back represents the reverse side of the heart; this is where we find fear, irritation, anger, resentment and frustration.
The Middle Back
The middle back holds the balance in the centre of the body; therefore it is connected to decision-making. Resentment can also be found in the middle back. The saying “I bent over backwards to help” relates to the middle back.
The Lower Back
The lower back is often where we store feelings of being unsupported, of the weight of responsibility. Issues of security, isolation, survival and self-support are often stored in the lower back.
What Your Body Wants to Hear: Support Your Hips
The hips are often where we store fear of moving forward, of the direction our lives are taking or a general fear about our very survival. This in turn can cause us to hold on so tightly that we are immobilised. This recording will help you loosen up and move forward.
What Your Body Wants to Hear: Support Your Knees
The knees are like shock absorbers, taking the strain between the weight of the body above and the ups and downs of the terrain below. When we can’t bear the load any more, the knees may start to react!
What Your Body Wants to Hear, Support Your Ankles
These thin little parts of the body support our entire weight. Support is the key word here, as the ankles reflect the support we depend on. And like the knees, we need them to be flexible and strong.
What Your Body and Your Baby Want to Hear, Support Your Changing, Pregnant Body
Research suggests that up to 80% of pregnant women report moderate to severe dissatisfaction with their bodies. A quick google search of “I hate my pregnant body” confirms this. This recording is designed to help you make peace with, accept and love your amazing pregnant body. So that you can enjoy this special time, instead of agonising over it.
What Your Body and Your Baby Want to Hear, Support Your Pregnancy
The new science of Epigenetics, is showing how much the emotional environment of our time in the womb affects us. At birth, half of our personality has already been formed. This recording is designed to help you release worry and anxiety. To help you and your baby relax and enjoy this very special time in your lives.
What Your Body Wants To Hear: Support Your Neck
The neck acts as a mediator between the head and body. It is a bridge between the absolute and the relative. It is therefore a natural cut off point, a place where a mind/body split is often found. Let go of all your “pain in the neck” thoughts and beliefs with this healing meditation.
What Your Body Wants To Hear: Heal Your Relationship With Money
Spirit had a great deal of input in this recording. I could feel their energy but I wasn’t consciously aware of it until the script was complete. If you are familiar with the film “Tuning In – Channelers in America”, Bashar, Tobias or Chief Joseph, you will recognise many of their wise words in this recording. That, blended with the beautiful music from Thaddeus, an angelic being of light, channelled by Sanaya Roman, makes for a powerful meditative, healing experience.
