During our discussion on Soul Searching Radio last week, Kelly Smith asked me to explain my work and how it I came to create it. We discussed affirmations and why they don’t always seem to work. As we said on the show, the fact is they do work but we have to be aware of what it is we are actually affirming! If we have an emotional block, the subconscious will not accept positive suggestions it does not believe to be true.
I am passionate about helping people to love and appreciate their bodies and helping them allow their bodies to heal naturally. I got very frustrated when people got disheartened when positive affirmations didn’t work for them. They gave up and felt an even greater sense of failure, shame, guilt or powerlessness. That was why I created the What Your Body Wants To Hear process.
Inspired by the work of Louise L Hay, Dr Masaru Emoto and others, I researched all the emotional issues generally held in specific areas of the body. I then created releasing/clearing statements, empowering questions and finally, positive affirmations to cover all those emotions and more. The statements and affirmations cover all these emotions on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.
Each recording covers all the emotional issues which are generally held in specific areas of the body.
I created the following recordings to give you a taste of each of the three parts of the What Your Body Wants To Hear programmes. These demonstrations cover some of the issues implicated in back pain.
The first part of the process; releasing and clearing.
The second part, gentle, empowering questions or afformations.
And the third part, powerful, positive affirmations to replace your fear-filled, negative or destructive self talk and replace it with empowering, healthy and healing thoughts.
Where is your focus? Are your negative beliefs being activated? What is your vibration around being healthy, happy and slim?
Try this simple exercise, say aloud “I am healthy, happy and slim”. Pay close attention to how you feel when you say the words. How true do they feel? Do you feel a “stuckness”, resistance, tightness?
Now try, “Why am I so healthy, happy and slim?”. How does that feel? Is there a difference?
This exercise will help you feel where your vibration is in relation to health, happiness and having a slender body. No matter where it is, it is caused by a thought or belief and a belief is only a thought that you’ve thought over and over until it became your version of the truth.
You can easily change your thoughts and beliefs. Take baby steps, be gentle with yourself. If you need some ideas about how to change your self talk and beliefs, please check out the free transcripts available on this blog
This little video explains Abraham’s take on beliefs around being healthy, happy and slim. Focus and appreciation!
The upper back represents the reverse side of the heart; this is where we find fear, irritation, anger, resentment and frustration. Many physical issues can arise based upon the emotional health of your spine. Since the spine literally supports your whole body, pain and imbalance in the spinal column often reflects feelings of non support and lack of love.
Others Describe Their Experiences Using This Meditation
“I have gone from dragging myself across the floor every morning in complete agony and dosing myself up on painkillers, to being able to walk completely unaided and pain free and drug free. My family and friends have always known me to have a bad back. The condition has affected me since childhood. But over the last few months it became progressively worse until I was unable to walk unaided. Each morning I would crawl on my hands and knees to the living room, where I would lie on the floor waiting for strong prescribed pain medication to take effect. The medication always makes me drowsy and unable to drive or work as well as I would like to. One morning, while lying on the floor, I knew the situation urgently had to change and I needed to find an alternative solution. This is when I discovered Barbara Clark’s back healing meditation. Barbara’s voice is beyond being soothing and gentle. When she speaks it feels like being deeply comforted and her voice feels like warm blankets of energy wrapping me up and shielding me from pain. I can honestly say that the results of Barbara’s meditation are quite simply astounding. I have gone from dragging myself across the floor every morning in complete agony and dosing myself up on painkillers, to being able to walk completely unaided and pain free and drug free. I highly recommend Barbara’s meditations. Thank you so much Barbara.” Steve Wentworth
“My back pain is gone. After suffering from upper back pain for the last 4 weeks I purchased the Full Back set of recordings. After listening to the Upper Back recording my back pain is gone, would recommend this set to anyone suffering from back problems. Thanks to Barbara and all her hard work in putting these recordings together, I would say well worth the effort”. K.Russell
“I felt about 60-70 percent better!! My goodness! I must say I have experienced great improvement already from your wonderful recordings! Your voice is so soothing, as is the music, and each time, I definitely reach what I call “zero point”== a VERY relaxed and deeply rejuvenating place! And I am happy to report that every time I get up afterward, there is definite improvement in the pain and stiffness in my back!! I must say that I was at quite a low point last night, after two weeks of attempting to help myself feel better, seeing energy healers here in Hout Bay, South Africa, and resting and praying, and doing my own brand of energy work (MAP, Reiki, visualizations), and STILL in pain — actually it had gotten much worse again. It was SUCH a gift to get the recordings and be able to listen to them last night (and twice today)! Sometimes you just need a little help from a friend, you know?I slept so well, and this morning, I felt about 60-70 percent better!! I am also impressed with your deep insight into what can be held in our back– so many of the statements resonated so strongly with me! I could feel my root chakra opening and the energy moving powerfully as I released those many, many emotions and beliefs– and I will continue to do so. Well, thank you again for all you BE and all you share! Please feel free to use any or all of the above in a testimonial in any way you choose! Much gratitude and love,Leslie“
“…no more pain. My mid back has been bothering me for three days. I finally realized that I had the solution right here on my computer. Put on the Mid Back MP3 and when it was over…no more pain. Seriously! Thank you so much, Barbara. These are powerful and empowering meditations. C. Condo“
“I have had back pain most of my life. I literally felt the pain leave my back and become transformed to love and light and forgiveness.thank you thank you thank you!” Russele Snow
“How you are feeling about yourself is determining your physical body more so than what you are consuming or how you are exercising”, the Pleiadian Collective channelled by Wendy Kennedy. In this excerpt from Tuning In Spirit Channelers in America about our bodies, the message is consistent. You create your reality by how you feel about yourself, by your consistent thoughts and beliefs and by your vibration.
So how do we make those all important belief changes? We make a start by changing our self talk, being kinder to our bodies and gentler with ourselves.
Spirit often tells people that their bodies can heal themselves if they get themselves out of their body’s way.
For a long time I wondered what the difference was between getting out of the way and putting your head in the sand. I definitely didn’t know the difference when I set out on my own journey of growth and expansion with a health issue three years ago.
With my background in EFT, Zpoint, Reiki and Divine Love Healing, I knew there had to be an underlying emotional cause. I was sufficiently connected to my body to know what treatment it wanted or didn’t want, but I still was unclear about the difference in getting out of my own way and putting my head in the sand.
So for a time I put my head in the sand and travelled through the various stages, both emotional and physical, that I suspect many people facing so called potentially “serious” illness go through.
Why Did I Get Ill?
Because of my background, I missed out the “why me?” and “poor me” phases but I visited all the other places we can go when faced with dis-ease. If you find yourself in a “why me?” or a “poor me” stage, don’t beat yourself up about it, accept it, be with it for a while, truly feel it and know it will pass. You don’t live there, you are only visiting!
The disassociation phase, is, I believe, a very important one. It was during this phase that I made a big discovery. Disassociation from the “dis-eased” part is the very last thing it needs. It needs love, true, deep love and appreciation. I gained deep knowing from my disassociation phase, I needed to truly, truly love and appreciate my body, not just say the words, have an intellectual understanding or a belief. I had to love so deeply that the love, truly permeated my cells. That is what they responded to. Although intellect and belief help, they are surface helpers, I needed to go far beyond that, in to a deep, cellular, loving and knowing.
When I got to that deep, loving, knowing, I realised I’d discovered the difference between getting myself out of the way and putting my head in the sand. There was a level of true acceptance, deep love and knowing in getting and staying out of my body’s way. All the energy I’d used putting my head in the sand, and it takes a lot of energy to do that, was freed up to be used in a positive, loving, healing way.
We don’t think twice when our body recovers from a cold, a pulled muscle or a cut finger. Why then do we believe there are some dis-eases, it can’t heal? That makes no sense to me.
I wish anyone who is faced with dis-ease, a very loving journey, be gentle with yourself.
