Our Bodies Carry Our Unresolved Pain and Trauma From The Past.

Our bodies carry our unresolved pain, worry, fear and trauma from the past. Unless we have consciously healed them, we are all still carrying the, sometimes crippling, feelings of rejection and low self-worth we picked up in early childhood and beyond. Our bodies pay a high price for our unresolved emotions!

Knees are wonderfully complex joints. We need them to be healthy and flexible so we can move with grace and ease. Dance, run, climb mountains and stairs which, with painful knees, can sometimes feel like mountains!

If we are struggling emotionally with situations that we seem to be stuck in, holding ourselves back by sticking rigidly to old habits, remaining in unhealthy relationships and stubbornly holding on to painful memories, our knees are likely to be struggling too!

Alternatively, low self-worth or fear of standing up for ourselves can lead to conditions that weaken our knees.

If our knees buckle, give way too quickly, knock or tremble with fear or we are unable to stand up for ourselves (metaphorically and/or physically). We need to work on our self-esteem and insecurity, learn to believe in ourselves and claim our place in the world.

I first heard from Graham in June 2018. He wrote to tell me of his experience using my Healing For Your Knees meditation. His story was so amazing I never forgot it!

My knee pain, of 6 months or more which I had put down to a torn cartilage, cleared up during very first listening to your knee mp3. Very impressive! You know, I’ve often tried affirmations for different things in the past but nothing worked til I tried your one. The great thing about using them for something physical, as opposed to purely emotional, is that it gives you something tangible to measure the results against. A couple of days ago I was delighted to hear from him again. To say his email gladdened my heart would be an understatement. It made me smile when I saw that he’d forgotten he ever had neck and stomach problems!  Energy therapists will be familiar with this “forgetfulness” phenomenon. I was very familiar with it when I was a practicing Emotional Freedom Technique practitioner. Once we have cleared the energy and emotions around something we tend to forget about ever having the problem or condition. A great result for the client but not so great for client referrals!

Graham’s Update:-

Hi Barbara, I thought you might like a bit of positive feedback from my experience of using your affirmations. A few years ago I was suffering with a persistent pain in my knees. I came across your affirmations for knees on YouTube. I had an immediate reaction and the knees have been great since.

Then I decided to tackle my stiff neck and shoulders. I’d had this for as long as I could remember. My posture was deteriorating, too. I bought your recording for the neck, and while it took a good bit longer than the knees, my stiffness went and posture corrected itself over time.

Around this time I began to get stomach problems, so got your one for that. Touch wood, stomach has been great since.

Over time I forgot about how the tapes helped me, but recently my lower back has been bothering me. And then last night while browsing YouTube your back affirmations popped up. I suddenly remembered, “hey, I don’t have neck or stomach problems anymore.” So I bought your back affirmations and listened to it straight away. I hopped out of the bed like a two year old afterwards with no pain. It’s a little bit sore again today, but definitely better than before. Fingers crossed that listening to it for a while will bring about an improvement! So thank you for all your help.” Thanks again, Graham
