What If You Could Rejuventate Your Skin Using Thoughts, Feelings & Emotions?

What If You Could Rejuvenate Your Skin Using Thoughts, Feelings & Emotions?

woman with long hair

Thoughts, feelings and emotions create instant chemical reactions in our bodies.  One of the most noticeable places where we can see this in action, is the skin on our face. How many times have you woken after a rough night, a stressful time or an illness and wondered whose face was looking back at you in the mirror?

Of course you might say skin degradation is just part of the ageing process. You could argue that your family always had skin problems or always aged badly. You could be comparing yourself to the airbrushed images we see all around us. But when you stop and analyse these thoughts, you realise that they are all just beliefs.  How do you know that they are really true?

If thoughts, feelings and emotions cause skin problems and ageing, wouldn’t it be logical that they can also reverse them? Thoughts, feelings, emotions and traumas are stored in every cell of our bodies. If we continue to carry them around, they just weigh us down.  You can see in a person’s face when they feel “dragged” down, their skin portrays the way they feel inside.

What Your Body Wants To Hear

Release, Heal & Transform

Through Dr Masaru Emoto’s Messages From Water work, we have seen how thoughts, words and emotions affect water. Since we are mostly made of water, wouldn’t it seem probable that our bodies are also affected by thoughts, words and emotions?

What then if we changed our thoughts, feelings and emotions and sent a different message to our skin? What if we sent loving, healing thoughts? Wouldn’t that make more sense than trying to heal from the outside with expensive creams or very expensive and invasive surgery?  I certainly think it would be worth a try!

Thanks very much for this, Barbara. I find your article fascinating.

Long ago, before you started Beyond Affirmations and created all your wonderful meditations, I had a persistent and painful skin irritation, though not on my face. It was on my right arm. At one point, it was so painful I had to keep that arm covered constantly — even the air around me irritated it.

Finally, I did exactly what you talk about in this article. I changed my thoughts and feelings about my arm. Instead of criticizing it, I sent it thoughts and words of love.

It all cleared up beautifully and has never returned.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom and knowledge with all of us.

    Love, Johnny

🙂 Thank you so much for your comment, John. I remember you telling me about that and I am so pleased you changed your attitude to it and of course, it responded. Many years ago, I was living in a horribly stressful situation in Edinburgh (and as you know, I am a country girl :)). I developed a red itchy rash almost all over my body. In those days I consulted G.P.s or family doctors as you probably call them in the U.S. He was a sweet, kind, little guy who wore a tweed jacket and whose eyes looked in different directions when he looked at you. He told me I had idiopathic urticaria and asked me if I knew what that meant, of course I didn’t. Bless him for his honesty, he then told me it meant that I had a red itchy rash that (conventional) medicine did not know the cause of nor how exactly to heal it. I asked him if it could be stress related and he said it very well might be. Oh how I wish I’d known then what I know now. 🙂

    Hi Barbara,
this is really a wonderful article. I have had skin cancer and still have a very sensitive skin especially my face. I love the idea of sending love to the skin on my face, instead of being annoyed by the redness of my face. I’ll certainly give it a try the next weeks!!!
    Thanks again <3
