You Can Heal Your Life!

You Can Heal Your Life!

When Louise L. Hay wrote her little blue book, Heal Your Body back in 1976, she had no way of knowing where it would lead. She was the way- shower for so many of us, a pathfinder. She taught that we are responsible for everything in our lives, the best and the worst. Every thought we think and every belief we hold create our reality and our future.

Many of us have taken her teachings and expanded them in different directions, but they always lead back to the place of taking personal responsibility for what we have created.

When you truly integrate this lesson, it becomes a way of life. You no longer believe in accidents because you know that a part of you has orchestrated whatever you are experiencing. For example if I burn myself on the cooker, I immediately think “what am I angry about?”.  A few years ago, I had a bad fall down some stairs. As I lay in a great deal of pain on the floor, I remember thinking “why did you just throw yourself down those stairs?”.

In his book, Why am I sick?: What’s really wrong and how you can solve it using META-Medicine, Richard Flook discusses car accidents. Often, the damage to the car suggests where the driver “should” be injured. Many times, however, the injuries are in quite different areas of the body. Without an understanding of why we injure or create dis-ease in particular areas of the body, this would make no sense. But when you understand that emotional issues tend to manifest in corresponding areas of the body, and that the injury has a message for you, it makes perfect sense.

I had a friend who was a senior nurse working in the N.H.S. She was also a believer in the principles set out in You Can Heal Your Life. She told me that as she got to know her patients and their stories, every single one of their ailments, without exception, corresponded with an emotional issue in their lives!

“Every thought we think and every word we speak is an affirmation”. Louise L Hay.

Thank you, Louise for your ground breaking and inspirational work.
